Agrifac to demonstrate StrictHeightPlus system at Sprayer Demo Day

Agrifac will show its new StrictHeightPlus system at the Sprayer Demonstration Day on February 20th2019.

The company says the height control system guarantees perfect spraying quality, as the distance to the crop will always be optimal.  The boom is naturally balanced, meaning that no overbearing balance system has to be developed.  The Agrifac J-boom rolls freely over a moon-shaped suspension which ensures that the boom is balanced.

To further improve the balance under all conditions, the StrictHeightPlus height control system uses BalancePlus and variable geometry work in harmony to keep the boom freehanging.  Therefore, the boom can move freely, and the movements of the machine are not passed onto the boom, resulting in the calmest and most stable boom ride possible, thereby ensuring boom balance and improving  spray quality.

Due to the full integration in the EcoTronicPlus user interface, it is very easy to use and has better boom balance, longer lifetime.   The new fully integrated boom control system guarantees the chosen distance to the crop. By using four wide view sensors on the boom, Agrifac machines receive a reliable and accurate measurement of the crop. The benefit of using wide view sensors is simple:

a wide view gives a better overview of the crop. This means that the system can ‘read’ the situation better and it will not be affected by irregularities in the crop.

Also on display will be the StrictSprayPlus system.  Farmers need to know that they are spraying with the correct rate at the right place with Agrifac’s StrictSprayPlus you can apply the precise amount at all times.

Single nozzle sections prevent overlap and overdosing to the maximum, every nozzle can be

switched on/off individually.  When making a turn while spraying, different nozzles move at different speeds (the outside turn is a longer path, than the inside turn). In order to spray consistently at the same rate, faster moving nozzles need to spray more, and slower moving nozzles need to spray less. StrictSprayPlus is the first system truly compensating for this, spraying 100% coverage everywhere, Agrifac claim.

Regular rate control is achieved by changing the water pressure. However, changing the pressure does not only change the flow rate through each nozzle, but also changes the spray pattern and droplet size. StrictSprayPlus does not need to change the spray pressure to change the flow rate, therefore the spray pattern and droplet size stay the same, regardless of the flow.

The Sprayer Demonstration Day 2019 is a one day fully working demonstration of self-propelled sprayers which is being held at Churn Estate, Blewbury, Didcot, Oxon OX11 9HD starting at 8am until 4pm.  The day is a great opportunity to operate the latest sprayers in real working conditions. Qualified and competent operators can turn up and have a drive.
