Both the brand-new, intelligent IDS NXT cameras and the powerful Ensenso 3D cameras from IDS can open up new application areas for future-oriented image processing tasks in the field of agriculture.
This includes, for example, plant growth monitoring, weed detection or the recognition of certain object conditions (e.g. whether containers are filled with or without soil). At LAMMA, booth 17.254, camera manufacturer IDS will present various demo systems that explain how users benefit from these image processing solutions.
The programmable, vision app-based models of the IDS NXT camera family are particularly flexible. Depending on which app is installed, the cameras can, for example, read codes, detect anomalies or measure or count objects. Furthermore, they offer the possibility to install artificial neural networks which allows to realize AI-based tasks. With features such as C-mount, robust housing, GigE network connection with RJ45 or M12 connectors, RS232 interface and REST web interface, customers receive fully-fledged industrial cameras that are not only “smart”, but also prove themselves in challenging environmental conditions.
From pick & place to quality assurance: Ensenso cameras deliver helpful 3D data and prove themselves in a wide variety of applications. The recently launched Ensenso XR camera family is able to deliver 3D data directly from the camera. The transmission of results instead of raw data places considerably less strain on the network, which benefits computing-intensive applications. Ensenso XR cameras meet protection class IP65/67 and are therefore optimally protected against dirt, dust and water splashes. This makes them suitable even for harsh environments.
