New sprayer application system launched on UK market at LAMMA

Designed to improve spray efficiency, reduce drift and active ingredient volumes the Dutch developed Wingssprayer system is now exclusively available in the UK via Landquip.

The Wingssprayer relies on the air streams created by forward motion of the sprayer boom, and headwinds to create a downward swirl of fine droplets, the wings gently touch the crop to open the canopy and this swirl penetrates the crop.

The systems inventor Harrie Hoeben is on hand to talk about the technology both days of LAMMA with Landquip on stand 17.360.

We caught up with him on set up day to get an insight – ‘With a typical saving in ag chem of 10-20%, rising to potentially 40% in herbicide applications due to the fine droplet size, the system can also produce a 99% reduction in drift’ Mr Hoeben said.
