- The comprehensive tool for carbon emission calculation in agriculture will be exhibiting at this year’s live event, Low Carbon Agricultural Show, in NAEC Stoneleigh near Kenilworth this spring
The emerging market for carbon trading bring potential opportunities for the agricultural sector, as well as shining a light on what the farming community needs to do to reduce emissions.
At this year’s new Low Carbon Agricultural Show, at the NAEC Stoneleigh near Kenilworth, the Agrecalc team will be giving practical guidance on how farm operators can practically navigate the enterprise changes required, as well what climate change mitigations the supply chain might require of farmers in the future.
Julian Bell, Principal Consultant at Agrecalc will be sponsoring and presenting at the event’s Environmental Business live seminar, his topic Understanding your carbon-footprint and ways to reduce it.
He said: “During the session I plan to look at how different farm enterprises contribute to your overall footprint, how to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and how to assess the impact of your chosen mitigation measures on your carbon footprint and the operational efficiency of your farm business.”

Scotland-based Agrecalc was developed by SAC Consulting, the commercial arm of Scotland’s Rural College, will have a diverse and large team on hand for the duration of the event which runs on March 8 and 9 2022.
Mr Bell adds: “This is a fantastic new-look show that is addressing the agrifood sector’s growing appetite to invest in meaningful emissions mitigation. The show looks to have a very good mix of exhibitors ranging from electric vehicles to renewables and data, as well as a comprehensive range of speakers in the three seminar streams.
“The UK is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050 and the agricultural sector is uniquely placed to be part of the solution. Agrecalc will be there to explore the ways our clients and partners can measure, benchmark, and lower the carbon footprint on farms and land-based businesses, as well as throughout the entire food supply chain.”
Formerly the Energy & Rural Business show, and featuring the 12th annual Energy Now Expo, the event has rebranded, relocated, and reasserted its focus to ensure that practical solutions to tackling climate change through the generation of renewable energy, the implementation of low carbon initiatives and best practice in both environmental and carbon management, take centre stage.
