    AI Row Management System Enhances Hoeing Precision

    Fendt is showcasing RowPilot, an artificial intelligence-based row management system, at Agritechnica in its Fendt Future Zone. Designed for mechanical hoeing devices with ISOBUS compatibility, RowPilot uses AI to identify plants at soil level, increasing accuracy even on slopes and in windy conditions. 

    Unlike conventional systems that rely on crop color, RowPilot evaluates the geometric properties of plants, allowing it to operate effectively in areas with dense weeds or inhomogeneous crops. Operators can quickly adjust camera position and row spacing via the terminal, without needing information on crop height, width, or color, enabling seamless transitions between different crops. 

    The system also supports automatic control of individual row lift, either using section control or by managing the lateral-shift frame. Drift compensation sensors further ensure precise hoeing, improving overall field efficiency. 

    According to Ed Dennett from Fendt, RowPilot represents a significant step forward in autonomous and AI-driven farming technologies. By combining intelligent crop recognition with automated control, the system allows farmers to perform mechanical weeding more accurately and efficiently, saving time and reducing crop damage.
