Next-Generation Digital Hydraulics Enhance Precision Farming

e-LS connect, showcased by ROPA and Fendt at Agritechnica 2025, is a fully digital hydraulic system that communicates required oil pressure between tractor and implement via ISOBUS. By removing the need for a load-sensing line, the system reduces complexity, improves reliability, and speeds up response times for hydraulic functions.

The ROPA Keiler 2 RK22 potato harvester demonstrates the benefits, including higher operational efficiency, reduced fuel usage, and improved crop handling. Operator comfort is also improved, as manual pressure adjustments are no longer required, and software updates allow retrofitting of existing compatible machines.

This innovation marks a step toward standardized hydraulic networking across machinery brands, streamlining precision farming practices.
