    • After several years of delayed travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a bumper crop of nearly 40 Nuffield Farming Scholars will present their findings at this year’s Nuffield Farming “Super Conference”, to be held 14-16 November at Sandy Park in Exeter, Devon
    • Speakers include: Ali Cook talking on Utilisation and impact of robotics on large scale dairy farms and Matthew Blyth discussing Evaluating the potential cost benefits of electronic data recording for UK sheep and beef farms.

“Tickets to our Conference are not restricted just to Scholars, and Nuffield welcomes anyone who wishes to attend,” says Mike Vacher, Director of the Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust. “With study titles spanning a huge range of topics and sectors, this year’s event is not to be missed for anyone who works within the food, farming, rural and land-based industries in the UK.

“We look forward to hearing from our 2020, 2021 and 2022 Scholars about net zero agendas, public perceptions, plant breeding, livestock management, aquaculture, viticulture, deer management, robotics, data monitoring, water – the list goes on.”

The three-day agenda includes a welcome buffet, formal Annual Dinner, two days of Scholar presentations, and a pre-conference farm visit to Wastenage Farms, where Pete and Di Wastenage milk 2700 cows on a low-cost, pasture-based system. The full conference programme can be found here.

Full details about the conference, including ticketing information, can be found on the Trust’s websiteat www.nuffieldscholar.org/events/annual-conference-2023. Tickets are now available to purchase at a discounted “early bird” price until 31st August.
