    Faster Nutrient Uptake

ICL has launched Bioz Kellus, an innovative chelate that also functions as a biostimulant, enabling faster nutrient uptake and improved plant resilience. Unlike traditional fertilisers that focus on nutrient quantity, Bioz Kellus prioritises how efficiently plants absorb and use nutrients

According to Dr. Eduardo Lopes Cancellier, ICL’s Biostimulants Agronomy Specialist, the product marks a shift toward maximising plant nutrient efficiency while supporting overall plant health. Bioz Kellus uses a fully biodegradable, biologically active carrier made from peptide-based molecules and organic acids, avoiding the environmental buildup associated with conventional chelates.

Advanced trials at the University of São Paulo showed Bioz Kellus accelerated zinc uptake through leaves within 13 hours, outperforming traditional chelates. Field and laboratory trials also demonstrated strong biostimulant effects, including reduced herbicide stress, faster nutrient relocation, and 100% biodegradation within 22 days.

Already patented and commercialised in Brazil as a biofertiliser, Bioz Kellus is positioned to set new standards for the performance and safety of chelated micronutrients.
