AI Crawler truck to be launched in November

    • Visitors to the Midlands Machinery Show on 20th and 21st November will be the first to hear the full details about Mastenbroek’s new CT12 AI crawler truck

As the name suggests, the latest version of Mastenbroek’s CT is equipped with Artificial Intelligence.

The new safety feature will recognise human forms in close proximity to the truck, alerting the driver to the presence of a person close to the CT12.

“The CT12 AI has been developed for two main reasons,” says Mastenbroek’s commercial director, Christopher Pett. “First, it takes advantage of the latest safety technology, and secondly, it meets the stringent health and safety regulations that the civil engineering and utility installation companies need for compliance, and this is an area in which our customers are increasingly working. It will also be a very useful safety feature for our customers undertaking agricultural drainage.”

As well as Artificial Intelligent human form recognition, the CT12AI features the full-width tipping hopper, which reduces spillages when loading and is fully visible when the operator cabin is raised to its highest position. The variable speed conveyor on the hopper provides a free-flow discharge for aggregates of varying viscosity. As well as allowing the operator to place materials into trenches accurately, the hopper means the CT12 can be used as a dump truck.

At the front of the CT12, Mastenbroek’s variable height and speed, 180-degree swing conveyor makes it easy for the operator to place backfill material directly into a trench or the hopper mounted on the trencher.

The 2025 CT12AI continues to feature the front-mounted ladder for easy access to radiator levels, with side-mounted wide-opening doors facilitating access to the CT12’s 248hp Volvo Penta D8 eight-litre six-cylinder Stage 5 emission engine.

You can visit the Mastenbroek stand at the Midlands Machinery Show (John Crocker Hall 2 stand 12 (JCH2-12.
