After the successful innovation tour to New Zealand in 2018, BASF is offering growers using Adexar and Librax the chance to win one of 40 places on an innovation tour to Germany in November.
The tour will focus on farm efficiencies, profitability and sustainability to better understand how on-farm decisions can influence yield, crop health, and future innovations that could impact their choices.
Incorporating an exclusive visit to the BASF research and development centres, farmers will have a chance to look at their new seed breeding and on-farm trials with their new cereal fungicide, Revysol.
BASF’s Tim Short commented: “We are delighted to be offering the fully-funded innovation tour again this year. The success from 2018 highlighted the value farmers place on seeing new innovation first-hand and forming a network to compare and contrast their farming businesses.”
“We will be including a day at AGRITECHNICA to see what new technologies will be driving change with more than 2800 exhibitors and 52 countries present. We will also be visiting some leading farm operations to understand what challenges they face and how they are mitigating them going forward.”

Eight years of independent and BASF trials work shows that Xemium, which is present in Adexar and Librax, is the most curative of the SDHIs
Over three very different seasons, in 113 comparisons, Adexar delivered an extra 0.2t/ha over Aviator in conventional plot trials.
Librax has shown even better curative properties than Adexar against Septoria, and is now the standard recommendation at T2, at 1.25 litres/ha + CTL, following Adexar® at 1litre/ha + CTL.
To be eligible for the innovation tour, arable farmers need to download an app to log product purchased by scanning QR codes on the side of each can. Those buying over 150 litres of Adexar® or Librax® (10 cans) will be entered into the prize draw to join the trip. Every 4 cans scanned on top of the 10 already submitted will earn growers an additional entry into the top prize draw.

Farmers could also win one of 100 pairs of Meindl Burma Pro walking boots, and everyone who enters will receive a Petzel Tikkina headtorch.
