LAMMA sees new Syngenta innovations unveiled

    • Syngenta will unveil a whole raft of innovations and new technologies at LAMMA to aid more accurate and efficient application and product use

The company’s revolutionary new EvoPac product packaging will have its first UK showing at LAMMA. The pack is purpose designed to optimise results with the pioneering easyconnect – set to become the industry standard closed transfer system for sprayer operators.

The EvoPac features a central high flow opening to provide a stable coupling onto the easyconnect unit. EvoPac is made from a rigid recyclable polymer, with integral moulded grips for quick and safe handling. The easy clean translucent packaging enables operators to see precisely how much has been transferred during sprayer filling and when the packs are fully clean with the system’s auto rinse.

The EvoPac can be used just as effectively with conventional sprayer filling operations. The new packaging will be available for a range of Syngenta products this year, with a transition to replace all liquid packaging over the coming seasons.

Visitors to the Syngenta stand 10.210 at LAMMA will be able to see the EvoPac demonstrated on the easyconnect system.

Also at LAMMA, Syngenta will introduce the GranuPac, developed specifically for Nemathorin granules to enable faster and cleaner operation during potato planting. The 20 kg packs include moulded grips for safer handling and a new fast ring-pull opening. The system fits all existing hopper connectors. The new GranuPac will start to appear on farms during the 2023 season.

LAMMA offers the last chance to enter for the prestigious title of Farm Sprayer Operator of the Year. The competition aims to recognise and reward sprayer operators who demonstrate best practice in all their applications and who strive to get the best possible results.  Sharing their ideas and experiences between link-minded operators can help to raise standards and results across the whole industry.

Syngenta will also use LAMMA to launch developments in the company’s digital agronomy toolbox to advance precision crop management and that further help operators work more effectively and efficiently. This season will see major advances in the BlightCast disease forecasting system for potato growers, as well as the Quantis Heat Stress Forecast to optimise timing of applications. Investment in integrating one-stop digital solutions will enhance the capability for information from the leading Syngenta Spray Assist App to be built into every decision making.

First up this spring, for example, Spray Assist will guide growers and operators through the optimum Axial Pro application, to better target essential early grass weed treatments to remove competitive wild oats and ryegrass. Selecting the optimum nozzle and operating practices for the conditions, tailored to the weed and crop growth stage, will ensure the greatest results.

For all the latest application and agronomy advice, visit the Syngenta stand 10.210 (Hall 10) at LAMMA.
