- The first National Register of Sprayer Operators (NRoSO) Annual Training Events are underway, and over the next 5 months it is expected that over 10,000 sprayer operators will attend this half day course
Not only is this a fantastic way to pick up 8 BASIS and 10 NRoSO CPD points, but it is also the best way to stay up to date on the latest developments that affect the day to day spraying operations in farming.
This year, the training will run in a completely new format. Gone is the separate online exam, and in its place is the First Edition of the NRoSO Handbook.
This Handbook will focus on the parts of the role which do not tend to change so frequently (LERAP Zone information, for example), and contains some much-needed information and organisations to contact surrounding topics such as available grants for the operators devolved area, and signposting sprayer operators to places where they can find help to support their mental health.
Having all this information in a book, which can be kept in the cab, means that the training can focus on the issues and areas that are of immediate relevance to sprayer operators and their businesses such as requirements around OCR (PPP), ensuring the operator has the correct PA qualification for the kit they are using and making sure everything is to hand in case of an emergency.
The Annual Training Event is always popular, and a great way to get together with your industry peers in a setting which encourages the exchanging of ideas.
Contact your local agricultural training advisor or PPP distributors to find the next available session.
