New Holland to showcase range of tractors its new topsoil mapper plus cultivators and ploughs at Tillage Live 2018

New Holland will demonstrate its new Topsoil Mapper for the first time in the UK at Tillage Live. The new Precision Land Management (PLM) technology will be available through New Holland dealerships from 2019.

The Topsoil Mapper is the latest development in soil analysis, enabling better control of compaction, according to need. A front-mounted sensor maps the soil profile ahead of the tractor, up to a metre below the surface, giving the operator real time information. This allows adjustment of implement depth on-the-go, reducing implement wear, fuel consumption and increasing work rate when compared to conventional tillage at a single depth.  It also gives the operator more control and information about soil at their fingertips.

The system is more than just a tillage tool. ISOBUS compatible, it can also be used for variable seed rates when drilling. This allows the current soil conditions to be optimised with seed rate matched to soil moisture content.

New Holland will be showcasing its new T6 Dynamic CommandTM multi-purpose tractor with its

8-step semi-powershift transmission on stand at Tillage Live.  Available on the T6 all-purpose tractor series from 115-117 hp, the Dynamic Command sets a new certified benchmark in efficiency, and adds further choice to the very popular Basildon-Built T6 range, complementing the T6 Electro CommandTM and Auto CommandTM models.

Additional tractors to be demonstrated at Tillage include the T7.225 and T7.270 Auto CommandTM as well as the T7.315 Heavy Duty.

Following the acquisition of the agricultural grass and soil business of Kongskilde, Industries, New Holland will showcase ploughs and cultivators from its new tillage range.

The PHH5 fully mounted plough from its heavy duty range will be demonstrated at Tillage.   Available in a range of sizes from three, four, five and six furrows, the ploughs are fitted with shearbolt protection as standard. For those who work in stony ground or who wish to stay firmly in the cab, a hydraulic stone protection option is also available.

The STC300RS stubble cultivator from the five-model ST C range will be demonstrated at Tillage Live. Engineered to work in a wide range of crop residues and soil types with ‘C’ shaped tines for efficient cultivation, the ST C range is available in working widths of three to seven metres, and can be specified in rigid, hydraulic folding or hydraulic trailed variants with standard shearbolt or optional auto-reset.

The STXV500T Trailed Stubble Cultivator from the STX V extra heavy duty range will also be demonstrated. Designed for use in the toughest soil conditions the vibrating tines effectively mix crop residue, boosting breakdown in the soil.  Available in working widths of three to seven metres and in rigid, hydraulic and hydraulic trailed versions.

The New Holland range of seedbed cultivators has been designed to provide optimal conditions for crop establishment. The entry-level SBL V530 Trailed Seedbed Cultivator be on display for the first time. Available in rigid and hydraulic folding options in working widths from 2.5 to 6.7 metres, with either S or SQ tines to suit soil requirements.
