    New precision tined weeder

    • Zocon BV from the Netherlands will be presenting its latest innovation at the Agritechnica Trade Show at Hannover, Germany the Zocon Precision Tined Weeder

This precision tined weeder emerged from a collaboration between Zocon BV and agricultural trading company Geertsema, who already has over 8 years work experience with the proven weeder technology of this Zocon precision weeder.

The Zocon weeder is equipped with a line spacing of 2.2cm, to be able to weed in very vulnerable crops. Most important during the development of the Zocon weeder was the user convenience and the practical handling of the machine, which ensures with the complete galvanized frame for a durable machine. Successful weed control is just a matter of starting early and repeating a lot.  With the Zocon precision weeder you can start directly after seeding.

Adjustment of the 7mm tines is hydraulic, completed by adjusting the subframe with RVS plates which is mounted directly under the main frame. This RVS subframe makes sure that the tine pressure is even at every working height, which can range from 100grams to 5kg (regardless of whether work is carried out in arable crops, dam crops or special crops).

The goal was to add as many tines as possible (638 tines in a 15m machine) and that is why the machine is equipped with 7 rows. The machine has a very high ground clearance and the heavy frame makes sure that the weeder runs stable over the field, which improves the precision. Thanks to the many adjustment options, the weeder can be adjusted very gently (harrowing) or very aggressively (breaking the crust), so that it is suitable for use in almost all crops and stages and offers an optimal way of working for weed control. Despite the high number of tines, there is plenty of space in the machine due to the high ground clearance and the 7 rows of tines.

The working widths are 3m, 9m, 12m and 15m, with the 15 meter being shown at the Agritechnica in Hanover from November 12th to 18th at the Zocon stand D59 in Hall 27. In addition to this precision weeder, Zocon is also launching a new seeder with ISOBUS control, a new mini bale clamp specifically for midi bales of 65-215cm and the new parts app.
