Fendt is showing the 800 Vario at Agritechnica, featuring a new cab, updated lighting, and options for sensors including Tech Rails. The tractor includes smart farming functions such as the Fendt Workgroup, Tramline Control, and TIM.
With the new OutRun retrofit kit from PTx Trimble, the 800 Vario can perform autonomous operations during harvesting or soil cultivation. The system links combine harvesters and grain carts to carry out tasks independently, with obstacle detection and intelligent route planning.
“This technology could be transformative for farms facing labour shortages, enabling autonomous operations while maintaining precision and efficiency,” says Fendt’s Ed Dennett.
