SULKY has extended its ISOBUS connectivity to its DX30 and DX30+ range of fertiliser spreaders to improve application accuracy and rate adjustment in the field.
Sulky’s ISOBUS technology has been available on Sulky’s high capacity spreaders for several years. It allows automatic weighing and electrical control of the shutter opening/closing mechanism when connected to a Universal Terminal, offering improved accuracy and reduced costs though less waste.
Users of DX30 and DX30+ spreaders can now take advantage of these additional ISOBUS functions including application rate adjustment and section shut-off. The automatic opening/closing of the shutters makes Sulky’s Stop&Go function available, which assists at headlands and points in-field to reduce overlapping, including half-width spreading only.
Existing Universal Terminals referenced in the AEF database are compatible, or users can chose a Sulky ISOBUS terminal, such as the QUARTZ 800.
New DX30 and DX30+ units can be specified with ISOBUS, while current DX30 and DX30+ machines can be upgraded to full ISOBUS connectivity with the addition of an ISOLINK bridge, available from Sulky dealers. The bridge allows operators to switch between tractors with and without ISOBUS connectivity, helping to manage demand on machines at busy times.
