    • Regenerative agriculture startup, Terrafarmer, has acquired the trade and assets of Precision Decisions Ltd, the well-known and respected soil sampling business, from Map of Ag Group

The acquisition, on 4th November, will mean Terrafarmer will be able to offer a full complement of coordinated services across soils and regenerative agriculture, that not only provide farmers and landowners with insights into their soil, but also supports them beyond the results, with experience-led advice and actionable farm plans.

Commenting on the transaction, Tom Tolputt, co-founder and consultancy director at Terrafarmer said: “Combining forces under Terrafarmer means we can now not only offer existing and new clients an even greater range of cost-effective services, but also a larger consultancy pool of expertise and access to cutting-edge technologies – all backed up by full administrative support. We look forward to growing our relationships with many more farmers and building healthy soils and sustainable businesses from the ground up.”

Map of Ag CEO, Richard Vecqueray added: “We are delighted that we have found a great home for the Precision Decisions business. The deal will enable us to concentrate on our core activities around connecting data throughout the agrifood chain, and we expect to continue to work closely with Terrafarmer going forward on projects of mutual interest.”

The transaction will see Precision Decisions’ Craig Patrick take on a new role of Field Operations Director. Craig commented: “Bringing Precision Decisions into the Terrafarmer family will benefit both their and our existing and new customers, by adding value and building resilience into farm business – enabling them to persevere and thrive in these challenging times.”
