For the third year, the Tesco Agri T-Jam has run in partnership with the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit Pitch Day, seeking fresh solutions from seed and early-stage innovators to support the leading UK retailer’s supply chain, helping to provide affordable, healthy and sustainable food for its customers.

From a record 170 entries received this year from over 40 countries, ten finalists have been selected to present in the live pitch day on Monday October 19. At least one start-up will benefit from fast-track introductions to supply chain partners, with mentorship from the Tesco agriculture team.

From soil testing, crop resilience and farm monitoring to animal feed and welfare, find out more about the exciting start-ups who have caught the eye of Tesco and its supply chain in this year’s competition.

Announcing the finalists during the virtual World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit, Natalie Smith, Tesco’s Head of Agriculture said:

“At Tesco, our ambition is to find the new products, ideas and technologies that will help us serve our customers, colleagues and communities even better in the future. We want to work with people who have new ideas to help enhance what we do, or how we do things. We’re especially grateful to our supply chain partners for their specialist feedback and insight into how the technologies could be applied in the field.”

Join us for the live final showcase webinar on Monday October 19 (4-5pm BST) to enjoy presentations from all ten start-ups and an update from last year’s winner RoboScientific, before the 2020 winner is revealed live on air.
