Farmers can learn exactly how useful a drone can be on the farm online via the Drone AG website.

Users will get access to the same full course content, along with videos and downloadable checklists available as per the hand-on course that has been running at Drone AG headquarters for almost a year now.

“This gives farmers and agronomists from all over the UK a chance to access training resources aimed directly at using a drone on the farm as an effective cost-saving tool” says Jack Wrangham, Director at Drone AG.

The course has been designed by drone expert Jack alongside his farming brother Hugh Wrangham and agronomist Robert Ord covers mapping and crop scouting plus how to collect and use data for stewardship and insurance, planning and inspection applications.

“Many farmers and agronomists now own drones but few know their true potential,” says Jack. “The aim of the course is to show them what a very useful farm tool their drone can be.”

Module 1, which covers safe drone operation is free and offers 1 CPD point.

Overall, the course will cost £150 and carries an award of 6 BASIS CPD points for successful completion of all four modules, as well as discounts on the software used.
