Amazone has introduced the ZA-TS 01 AutoSpread, its latest fertiliser spreader that brings fully autonomous fine-tuning to spreading operations. After testing across more than 100,000 ha, AutoSpread is now deployed as a real-world solution for precision spreading.
At its core, AutoSpread continuously monitors the actual fertiliser flight behaviour (both throwing direction and throwing distance) and dynamically adjusts the spreader’s settings to maintain optimal lateral distribution. In effect, the system converts the machine into a “mobile spreading hall”—eliminating much of the manual calibration traditionally needed.
Linked via the AmaConnect unit to the Spreader Application Centre (SAC), the system cross-validates real-time spread data with a digital “twin” of the fertiliser characteristics. Should deviations occur—due to worn vanes, fertilizer batch changes or environmental effects—the system flags issues or auto-adjusts, all while retaining full offline operation during network outages.
AutoSpread also automates Section Control switch points, integrates BorderTS/AutoTS boundary management, and includes CurveControl to regulate distribution on field corners and arcs. With intuitive software, operators simply input the field boundary distance and let the spreader self-calculate settings—removing complex manual adjustment and reducing the need for frequent spreader tests.
The ZA-TS 01 Ultra version will initially be offered in 4,200 L and 5,000 L hopper sizes, before a full product rollout across models in 2027.
For precision-focused farmers and spreader operators, the AutoSpread approach promises to cut setup time, heighten consistency, and boost confidence in fertiliser placement from boundary to boundary.
